Wonderful, friendly, knowledgable staff. The shop is charming! They even have a landscaping division.
This review is long overdue. I would never use this florist again or recommend them. I ordered flowers for my wedding at Van Scoters. The florist was the most rude and intrusive person in sales I've ever encountered. Over small talk he found out my father would not be walking me down the aisle. He persisted on how sad that was and how I should at least have my mother do it. He just kept bringing it up. This man had never met me in my life. I politely tried to get him to drop it because little did he know my father was dead and it hurt me deeply that he could not be there on my wedding day. In an effort to finally end it I told him it was an out dated tradition and I was a grown woman. He then called me a "grown brat". He said this in front of my 8 year old daughter, MIL and fiance as plainly as if he were saying what he had for breakfast. I should've left right then but I was so shocked and embarrassed I just told him to drop it. My MIL paid for the flowers as a gift. On my wedding day the flowers were all wrong. He made the bootineer the wrong color and mixed up the colors of my bouquet and my bridesmaides. Nothing good to say at all about my experience with Van Scoters.

This place will make your arrangements 60% carnations. Just tacky and cheap looking. Save your money towards a Florist in Hammonsport.
